Uzhichil-Oil massage


Uzhichil is a form of Ayurvedic massage therapy, which is effective in the rejuvenation of the nervous and muscular systems of the body and also improves the blood circulation. Uzhichil is one of the most effective massage therapies in ayurveda that involves the application of pressure to the specific parts of the body along with oil and thus stimulate the circulation as well as the nervous system. Here in our hospital we also practice kalari martial arts massage, marma massage, and kathakali massage


Pizhichil


Pizhichil is an excellent remedy for best relaxation in Ayurveda. The treatment is also beneficial for various ailments such as nervous weakness, sexual weakness, hypertension, Vata imbalances, and limbs emaciation. this treatment procedure is highly effective in joint and muscle stiffness, as in the case of Hemiplegia and Osteoarthritis. It is a gentle and synchronized body massage, which is done with constant flow of warm Ayurvedic medicated oil in large quantity.


Chavitti uzhichil


Chavitti Uzhichil is an Ayurveda way of oil massage with Marma therapy with feet. Marma are vital points of the body which contain Prana energy. Gentle pressure on Marma while doing massage provides Prana energy to the body and mind which gives ultimate healing. This massage is deeply relaxing, harmonizes, detoxifies, strengthens and revitalizes the entire body. This massage also improves lymph flow and stimulates the immune system. It simultaneously calms and strengthens the nervous system.


Marma chikitsa


The word Marma used with meanings as tender, secrete or vital points. There are total 107 Marma in the body. In Tamilian traditions they are 108. and in kalari tradition they are 365 Marma points. There are certain anatomical locations in the body which are vital, and serve as small pockets of Prana, thus any injury to these parts can be painful and cripple the local functions or even lead to sudden death of the individual or disability.

Using the knowledge of marma in treatment is called marma treatment.marma massage clenses the body systems and optimizes the body function,tones up the muscles resulting in cure of the ailments.It builds physical,mental and emotionalbalance which is lost in decease.

Traditional kalari methods of massage are adopting in our hospital for the relief of various ailments including cervical spondylosis, accidents, disc proapse, frozen shoulder, dislocation,fractures,trauma etc. paralysis, musculoskeletal deformities etc.. without any surgical intervention.


Shirodhara


Shirodhara-head dhara, is a type of moordha thaila where in suitable medicated oil poured on the forehead and then allowing to flow over the Scalp from a specific height, which is advised in Anxiety, Neurosis, Insomnia, Neurological, Psychological and Psychosomatic disorders.

Shirodhara has been used to treat a variety of conditions including Eye diseases, Sinusitis, Allergic rhinitis, Greying of hair, Neurological disorders, Memory loss, Insomnia, hearing impairment, Tinnitus, vertigo, Ménière's disease and certain types of skin diseases like Psoriasis. It is also used non-medicinally at spas for its relaxing properties. Thakradhara, a special type of dhara, In this medicated buttermilk is used to cool the body and this procedure is useful to control skin diseases and diabetes


Shirovasthy


Shirovasti or therapeutic enema is one of the major oil therapies of Ayurvedic treatment that is carried out as a part of Panchkarma ( five methods of purification ). The process involves the application of specific lukewarm oil to the head for a specific period of time. Shirovasti stimulates specific points of the head and is quite effective in the treatment of brain disorders.. Shirovasthi is used for the treatment of various diseases like Hemiplegia, Cervical spondylosis, numbness, Facial paralysis, Bell’s palsy, dryness of nose and mouth, Cataract, deafness, earache and Insomnia. This therapy is also useful in Sinusitis, eye diseases and also helps in improving complexion, hair growth and it makes the hair roots healthy.


Udwarthanam


This procedure of massaging the whole body with oil or herbal powder in upward direction is Udvartana. . This helps to reduce obesity, toning of the muscles, improves blood circulation and eases joint pains. Udvartana opens the circulatory channels facilitates the metabolic activity and improves the complexion of the skin. Udwarthana is highly effective in infertility patients with obesity.


Nasyam


It is one of the Panchakarma( five methods of purification ) mentioned in Ayurveda. It is a process by which administering drops of herbal liquid preparations through nostrils. This method effective to detoxify accumulated dosas and impurities in head and neck which are expelled through nose. Nasyakarma alleviate diseases like Cervical spondilitis, headache, Facial paralysis, Hemiplegia, diseases of nose, Frozen shoulder, Hemi crania, Trigeminal neuralgia, Coryza, Sinusitis, mental disorders Parkinsonism and skin complaints. It enhance the activity of sense organs and prevent the diseases of head (urdhwanga). Nasyakarma prevents the early aging process and ensure growth of hair.


Kashayavasthi


It is a major procedure among the PanchaKarmas( five methods of purification ). Here a combination of honey, salt, medicated oil, paste of herbs and decoction are given as enema. This treatment restores the balance of three doshas. It is indicated in all kinds of Rheumatic diseases, Sciatica, upper motor neuron disease, seminal complaint, skin diseases, obesity, and different types of cancer.


Thalapothichil


In this treatment, a herbal medicinal paste, thick in texture, is applied on the person's scalp, enhancing easier penetration of its healing properties. It is known to be highly effective in treating mental illnesses, hypertension, migraines, headaches and insomnia. Treatment is renowned for its ability to heal problems related to the head and neck regions. Alzheimer's disease, migraine, certain psychosomatic diseases, Arthritis, headache, Sinusitis etc. are some of the most common ailments.

Rakthamoksha


Raktamoksha therapy is one of the Panchakarma( five methods of purification ) of Ayurveda. Literally meaning of Rakthamoksa is Blood Letting, Raktamoksha is performed to eliminate the toxins from the bloodstream with the help of leeches and other surgical instruments. It is a safe, painless and highly effective form of Panchakarma. Raktamoksha entails the refinement of blood, hence administered to treat disorders pertaining to skin, such as Urticaria, rash, Eczema, Acne, Scabies, Leucoderma, chronic itching and hives.


Kizhi


KIZHI is most advanced and scientifically designed for conducting Ayurvedic swedana treatment (medicated fomentation therapy). Kizhi is highly beneficial in musculo-skeletel disorders (pain, swelling, and stiffness) and neuro - vasculopathy (numbness, loss of sensation, burning sensation, cramps etc.). In Kerala system of ayurvedic practice, KIZHI is recommended for Arthritis & Rheumatism and beneficial in low back ache (Muscular & Disc), neck pain (Spondylosis), Muscle pain (Fibromyalgia), Joint pain and problems related with nerves and blood vessels


Elakizhi


Herbal leaves (Elakizhi) or herbal powders (Podikizhi) are applied to the whole body in boluses with hot medicated oils. It Relieves pain, numbness and edema and improves blood supply.


Nhavarakizhi


This is one of the most popular therapies used for the purpose of rejuvenation of the body. This therapy endows several benefits to a healthy person as well as to the ill. Njavara Kizhi promotes muscular power, bulkness and restores vigor. It also contributes complexion of the skin.
